Brooks Cullen On Schafer Cullen’s Active Approach To Value Investing

Brooks Cullen, President, Vice Chairman, Schafer Cullen Capital Management joined Keith Black, Managing Director, RIA Channel to discuss the state of equity markets and the key benefits of a value-based investment approach.

As an active, bottom-up value manager, Schafer Cullen aims to identify high quality stocks at attractive valuations with strong dividend growth potential. Schafer Cullen is a boutique asset manager with over 40 years of experience in value investing. The active manager’s investment strategies ultimately center around the idea that consistent exposure to the market, coupled with a price disciplined approach will deliver long-term performance and capital appreciation.

Brooks Cullen joined the Firm in 1994 and currently oversees business development and client service. He joined the Firm as an Analyst and assumed a co-portfolio manager role on the Firm’s Value Equity and Small Cap Value Equity strategies. Previously, he was employed at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Cullen received his MBA from Fordham University in 1996 and his B.A. in Economics from Boston University in 1990.
