Mike Akins Head of ETFs ALPS Portfolio Solutions
Mike heads up the Exchange Traded Fund division for ALPS Advisors and serves as the lead Portfolio Manager for the ALPS ETF Trust. In this role he is responsible for leading overall ETF strategy including product, research, marketing and technology, and professional services sales support. Prior to joining ALPS, Mike worked at UMB Financial Corporation in Compliance and Fiduciary Risk Management. Prior to UMB, Mike was an account manager at State Street Financial Corporation. Mike has over 15 years financial industry experience, is an Honor Graduate from the Cannon Financial Institute’s Fiduciary and Investment Risk Management School, and graduated from Briar Cliff University with a B.A. in Business Administration.
Rahul Sen Sharma Partner Indxx, LLC
Rahul joined Indxx in 2011, and is responsible for building the firm’s new client relationships and marketing/sales activities. Prior to joining Indxx, Rahul was the Director of Investment Research for RR Advisory Group (now part of Mariner Wealth Advisors), a full service private wealth management firm based in New York that caters to high net worth individuals, where he performed due diligence on the firm’s investment managers and built customized portfolios for client’s investable assets. From 2003-2006, Rahul was based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and served as Manager of Consumer Sales Training for Mexx, a global fashion company with more than €1 billion in sales and 500 retail locations throughout Europe and the Middle East. He began his career in the music industry, and worked at Atlantic Recording Corporation from 2002-2003. Rahul holds a B.S. from Boston College and an M.B.A. with Beta Gamma Sigma honors from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
