How To Allocate To Private Equity And Why – Altegris Advisors LLC – 7.18.17

Summary:

On Demand Soon.

Interest in private equity investing is on the upswing. At Altegris we believe this is due both to the strategy’s strong performance history and to the abundance of opportunities it offers. In the US alone there are about four times more private companies than the number publicly listed.1 But while private equity has become more accessible to qualified investors than in the past, decisions concerning whether and how to invest are far from clear-cut.

In this webcast we will discuss:

  • The nature of the private equity universe and opportunities.
  • Key considerations in evaluating private equity’s fit with investor goals.
  • Ways to access private equity, and the types of strategies managers employ.
  • How private equity investments may affect portfolio returns and characteristics.
  • How sophisticated asset allocators incorporate private equity in a traditional portfolio.
  • The Altegris KKR Commitments Fund*, a new way for qualified investors to access private equity.
