abrdn’s Magnusson On Physical Precious Metals ETF: GLTR

Dan Magnusson, Senior Director, Exchange Traded Funds for abrdn, joined Julie Cooling, Founder and CEO of RIA Channel to discuss the abrdn Physical Precious Metals Basket Shares ETF (GLTR) and key commodity market drivers.

Due to the low correlation to both stocks and bonds, commodities can serve as a vital diversifier to a modern portfolio, says Magnusson. On the supply side, many commodities are still experiencing supply chain disruptions. While, at the same time, demand is growing due to increases in global population and the transition to cleaner energy.

The abrdn Physical Precious Metals Basket Shares ETF, GLTR invests in gold, silver, platinum, and palladium, and seeks to provide investors with broad precious metals exposure in a single fund. The physically-backed ETF allows investors own a share of the physical metals held in a vault. abrdn also offers funds that invest in each individual metal (SGOL, PALL, PPLT, and SIVR).

WEBCASTBack to the main event, and the potential opportunities for commodities.

With the debt ceiling debate behind us, our attention returns to the main event of the year for investors which is the great debate over whether the US achieves either a soft or hard economic landing. Depending on the outcome, there are potential opportunities when it comes to investing in commodities. Has the Fed gone too far raising rates too quickly and too far, ensuring a hard landing and recession? Or are we on a glide path away from an overstimulated economy? We will also update the long-term investment outlook for the energy transition. If you own gold, broad commodities and energy transition metals you will want to tune in.

Join us for an interactive webinar featuring Bob Minter and Dan Magnusson from abrdn, as they discuss current market events, their impact on the commodity asset class and where commodities may fit within a diversified portfolio.
