Matt Straut, CIMA

Matt Straut is Senior Vice President and Head of the Registered Investment Advisor business at OppenheimerFunds. He joined the firm in 2014 and is leading the effort to expand and strengthen OppenheimerFunds’ industry presence in the RIA, Multi Family Office, and Personal Investing Platforms channels.

Matt has more than 20 years of experience in sales, sales management, and business management roles in the asset management industry. Before joining OppenheimerFunds in 2014, he was a Vice President at Wells Fargo Asset Management, where he oversaw the RIA and Personal Investing Platforms and Defined Contribution Investment Only (DCIO) channels. Matt was responsible for the creation and execution of a business plan to grow sales and gain market share in these rapidly growing segments of the advice market.

Matt has a B.S. in Marketing from Providence College, and has earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation. He is an active volunteer with several charitable and community organizations, and resides in Hanover, MA, with his wife and four children.

Paul Brunswick
Senior Business Consultant

Paul Brunswick is a Senior Business Consultant at OppenheimerFunds responsible for representing the firm’s CEO Advisor Institute’s personal and professional development programs to advisors across the nation.

Paul Brunswick joins OppenheimerFunds from CEG Worldwide where he led CEG’s Corporate Solutions Division. In this role Paul designed and delivered corporate solutions to help corporate clients improve their growth rate of net new assets, retain their top advisors and attract new, qualified financial advisors to their firms.

He has more than 30 years of successful financial services experiences and a proven track record working with both institutional and ultra-high-net-worth clients, as well as with financial advisors and branch managers. Paul has both field and corporate expertise in developing talent at all levels within a financial services organization.

Prior to CEG, Paul was the managing director of national business development for Smith Barney, where he provided strategic and tactical direction to the firm’s entire private client distribution channel. He led campaigns designed to increase advisor net asset flow, grow fee-based revenue and improve advisor competency in such key areas as investment and wealth management. He also had responsibility for internal communications, new product approval and the research strategy group.

Earlier, he worked at Smith Barney in a variety of management positions across the country. He started his financial career as a financial consultant for Merrill Lynch in St. Louis, Missouri.

Paul graduated from Missouri Valley College with a B.S. in Business Administration.
